Ingredients

  • 2 apples peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 2 bananas
  • 150 g dairy-free yoghurt
  • 120 ml dairy-free milk
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • Fresh fruit for topping
  • Optional: gluten-free granola for topping

Method

  1. Add the chopped apples, bananas, dairy-free yoghurt, dairy-free milk, maple syrup or honey, and cinnamon to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. If the mixture is too thick, add a little extra dairy-free milk. If it is too thin, add a little more banana or a spoonful of dairy-free yoghurt.
  4. Pour the smoothie mixture into bowls.
  5. Top with chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and fresh fruit.
  6. Add gluten-free granola if using, then serve straight away.

Notes

  • Chill the fruit beforehand for a colder, thicker smoothie bowl.
  • Use a dairy-free yoghurt that suits your own allergy or dietary needs.
  • Toppings can be changed depending on what you have at home, such as berries, sliced apple, banana, or allergy-friendly granola.
  • For a sweeter bowl, add a little extra maple syrup to taste.
