Dairy-Free Egg-Free Garlic Dough Balls

Soft garlic dough balls made without dairy or eggs, perfect as a side, snack, or easy sharing dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g self-raising flour
  • 200 g dairy-free yoghurt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1 tsp dried parsley

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C / 180°C fan / gas mark 6 and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the self-raising flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the dairy-free yoghurt and mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Lightly flour your hands and divide the dough into 12 even pieces.
  5. Roll each piece into a ball and place on the prepared tray.
  6. Bake for 15–18 minutes until lightly golden and cooked through.
  7. Meanwhile, mix the olive oil, crushed garlic, and dried parsley in a small bowl.
  8. As soon as the dough balls come out of the oven, brush them with the garlic oil mixture.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

  • These are best served warm straight from the oven.
  • If the dough feels too sticky to handle, add a little extra flour.
  • Great as a side with soup, pasta, or dips.
