Gluten-Free Banana Oat Bites

Soft baked bites made with banana and gluten-free oats, perfect for simple snacks, lunchboxes, or toddler-friendly bites.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ripe bananas mashed
  • 180 g gluten-free oats
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp raisins or dairy-free chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C / 160°C fan / gas mark 4 and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Add the mashed bananas to a large bowl.
  3. Stir in the gluten-free oats, cinnamon, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix until everything is well combined.
  5. Fold in the raisins or dairy-free chocolate chips if using.
  6. Spoon small mounds of the mixture onto the prepared tray.
  7. Shape them gently into bite-sized rounds.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden and set.
  9. Leave to cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Very ripe bananas work best for sweetness and texture.
  • These bites are soft rather than crisp, making them good for lunchboxes or younger children.
  • You can add a little extra cinnamon or swap raisins for dairy-free chocolate chips if preferred.
